1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing or using Price Patrol ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not install or use the App.

2. Description of Service

Price Patrol is a Shopify application that provides competitor price tracking, price change alerts, and automated repricing tools. The App monitors competitor product pages, extracts pricing data, and optionally adjusts your Shopify product prices based on rules you configure.

3. Account and Access

  • You must have an active Shopify store to use the App
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Shopify account
  • You must provide accurate notification settings (email, webhooks) for alerts

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App to violate any laws or regulations
  • Track URLs that you are not authorized to access
  • Attempt to circumvent plan limits or rate limits
  • Use the App to engage in predatory or anti-competitive pricing practices
  • Resell or redistribute access to the App

5. Repricing and Price Changes

Important: When you enable repricing rules (especially auto-repricing), the App will modify your Shopify product prices automatically. You acknowledge that:

  • You are solely responsible for configuring repricing rules correctly
  • You should set appropriate minimum and maximum price bounds
  • We are not liable for revenue loss due to incorrectly configured rules
  • Auto-repricing changes prices without manual approval — use with caution
  • You can disable repricing at any time

6. Price Data Accuracy

We use AI-powered extraction to read competitor prices. While we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee that extracted prices are always correct. Websites may change their structure, use dynamic pricing, or display different prices based on location. You should verify critical pricing decisions independently.

7. Billing

  • All billing is handled through Shopify's billing system
  • Paid plans include a 7-day free trial
  • You can cancel at any time through Shopify's admin
  • Refunds are subject to Shopify's refund policies
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice

8. Intellectual Property

The App, including its code, design, and documentation, is owned by Price Patrol. Your data remains yours. We claim no ownership over your product data, competitor URLs, or pricing strategies.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Price Patrol is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to lost revenue, lost profits, or data loss. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that extracted price data will be accurate.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms. You may terminate by uninstalling the App from your Shopify store.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration.
